Below-zero night coming? Five things to do before it hits.

- Find and label the main water shut-off.
- Open cabinets on exterior walls.
- Disconnect garden hoses.
- Keep the heat on when you're away.
- If a pipe bursts: shut off the water, photograph the damage, dry what you can, keep receipts, and report the claim.
