Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly when you request a quote, contact us, or become a client. Depending on what you ask us to do, that may include:
- Contact details — name, mailing address, email address, phone number
- Household and risk details needed to quote coverage — drivers, vehicles, property, prior insurance history, and similar underwriting information
- Records of our communications with you, including calls, emails, and text messages
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
How we use your information
- To prepare, deliver, and service insurance quotes and policies you request
- To contact you about your quote, your policy, renewals, claims, and account service
- To send you marketing about insurance products and services, where you have agreed to receive it
- To meet our legal, regulatory, and recordkeeping obligations as a licensed insurance agency
SMS and text messaging
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
If you provide your mobile number and consent to receive text messages from us, we use that number only to communicate with you as described in our Terms & Conditions. Message frequency may vary. Standard message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service.
How we share information
We share your information only as needed to do what you have asked us to do, or as the law requires. That can include:
- Farmers Insurance Group and its affiliated underwriting companies, to quote, bind, and service coverage
- Service providers who work on our behalf — such as our agency management, quoting, phone, and email systems — and who are required to protect your information
- Regulators, law enforcement, or others where required by law, subpoena, or to protect our legal rights
We do not sell your personal information.
How we protect information
We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards intended to protect your information, and we limit access to those who need it to serve you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
- Email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
- Text: reply STOP to any message.
- Phone: ask us to place you on our internal do-not-call list.
- Access, correction, or deletion: Colorado residents have rights under the Colorado Privacy Act to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of certain personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale of personal data. Note that insurance and financial records we are required to retain by law or by our carrier may not be deletable while a policy or claim is active.
