  1. Photograph and video all damage, with dates, before any repairs: the roof from the ground, siding, windows, gutters, and your cars.
  2. Make temporary repairs to stop further damage, like covering broken windows or holes, and keep every receipt.
  3. Report the claim. Write down the claim number and the adjuster's name.
  4. Look up your wind/hail deductible so the numbers don't surprise you.
  5. Don't sign a contract or hand over your claim to a contractor until you understand it.
  6. Be wary of anyone offering to “cover your deductible.” Colorado law (C.R.S. 6-22-105) prohibits roofers from paying, waiving, or rebating it.
  7. Get more than one estimate, and check the contractor's license with the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department (pprbd.org).

If you're not our client, your insurer's claim line is your first call. If you want help understanding your deductible or the claim process, we're glad to walk through it.
