Colorado Springs, Colorado
Contractors, gyms, restaurants, trades, defense subcontractors, home-based businesses. Each one has a coverage gap that's obvious to us and invisible to a website form. We start with what you do, then build the policy.
What's different here
Colorado requires workers' compensation for any business with one or more employees, including part-time. Fines run per day. It's the first thing we check on a commercial quote.
Roofers, GCs and remodelers here live on hail work. Commercial auto for the trucks, tools coverage for what's on them, and liability limits that satisfy the GCs and property managers you sub for.
Subcontracting for the installations, Space Command or a prime means certificates of insurance with specific limits and additional-insured wording. We've seen the requirements and we'll match the policy to them.

Questions we get
Barely. Most homeowners policies cap business property at a few thousand dollars and exclude business liability entirely. A small in-home business endorsement or a BOP fixes it for very little.
A business owner's policy bundles general liability and commercial property into one policy at a lower combined price. It fits most retail, office, restaurant and service businesses under a certain size.
If it's used regularly for business — hauling tools, visiting job sites, deliveries — yes. Personal auto policies exclude business use, and the claim gets denied after the crash, not before.
Same business day for existing clients, usually within the hour. GCs and landlords don't wait, so neither do we.
